What's Happening

I left my camera in Louisiana so no pictures. Reagan absolutely loves school. Last week Hadrian was sick so I really didn't want to walk her to class that day. I asked her if she would walk by herself to class, of course she said yes. She has been asking me for a while if she can walk by herself to class. When we pulled up I told her to walk straight to class and wave to me when she gets to the door. You know I had to make sure she got there o.k. She said "O.k o.k mom don't freak out, just calm down." She walked all by herself to class and didn't even look my way when she opened the classroom door. She is getting so big. She actually folded clothes the other day, and she made my bed. I guess that means I should start putting her to work. Kenneth will be home this weekend. So we are all looking forward for him to be home even if it is just for a couple of days:)

Happy Birthday Granny!!!!

Today is Granny's 79 birthday!!! When Reagan got home from school she called her and sang happy birthday to her. Hadrian had just woke up from a nap and was in a bad mood. I really wish we could have been up there. For sure next year.

Last night we had a last minute get together at the EDGE to record a video. If they win the gym gets $10000. It was so much fun. Reagan is so funny. She got to hold up a picture of a ice cream. Then she got to dance and run to the back while the other girls were doing flips. I would break my neck. I am so looking forward to this year. Reagan is on the All Star team. She should have 3 (or more) competitions this year. She really enjoys it. I hope the video comes up soon so I can vote. I am going to try to paste it on here. If not they are making the parents a copy.

Part Alligator and Part Buck Deer- Joe Sheppard Memorial

In Memory of Joe Sheppard
December 22, 1933- September 9, 1989

September 9th is the 20 year anniversary of my grandfather passing away. I remember him like it was yesterday. It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to deal with. Life will never be the same with out him. He was a wonderful man and a wonderful grandfather. He was elk hunting in Pie Town New Mexico when he passed away. He had just retired from the Sheriff’s Department 9 months earlier. He was Sheriff of Highlands County for 12 years. Before that he was a State Trooper for 16 years. He started off as a Game Warden. He was also in the Navy. He had many accomplishments. I believe that he would have had many more. My grandma said that he had mentioned running for state senator when he got back to Florida. She said no way. She did not like having attention on her. I think that my life would have been much different had he lived. But we can’t dwell on the past. I have my precious memories.

We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and days before that too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name All we have now are memories and your picture in a frame Your memory is our keepsake with which we'll never part GOD has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts. A million times we cried, If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly In death we love you still In our hearts you hold a place No one could ever fill It broke our hearts to loose you, but you didn't go alone,,,,for part of us went with you............The day God took you home.

Shamu, Shamu

Yesterday we went to Sea World. We had so much fun. I can't wait to go back. We went with my best friend Elizabeth and her two girls and her niece. The girls wanted to sit in the splash zone so we did. Even with my poncho on I still got wet.

Reagan got her practice uniform and shoes in on Thursday. She is very excited. She will be getting her uniform in soon. They will have about three competitions this year. They may end up having more. She really enjoys it.
