Discovery Launch

REAGAN'S DRAWING OF THE SHUTTLE COMING HOME

LIFT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight we were playing outside and we saw the shuttle go off. It went of at about 7:43. It was so cool. It was suppose to go off on Wed night, but I think they found a fuel leak or something like that. Reagan was super excited. Afterwards she drew a picture of the shuttle going home on the concrete. Hadrian is so funny. Whenever I take a picture of Reagan he wants me to take his picture too.

My Little Helper Part 2

Hadrian loves to vacuum. If only he could vacuum the whole floor, but he does a pretty good job.

Dogs

My Little Helpers

Hadrian loves to give the horses water. Most of the time he gets into the water bucket. He has several pairs of shoes that I have to dry out every week. Reagan loves to swing. She wants to swing constantly.

My Baby Daddy

Cheryl helped me pick out a stallion to bred to. We are wanting a flat horse for the hunt seat classes. Brood mare produces long flat trots and very good necks and head sets on her babies. She also has the height that we need. Her smallest baby has been 15' 3. When you show at the Quarter Horse shows you have to have a certain look and major height for the hunter under saddle classes. You should just be judged on movement, but unfortunately that is not the way it is. My goal this year is to get my horse going and get myself going. I am so out of shape. I have a lot of work to do. I want to be a great rider by the time the baby is ready to show. The stallion we picked out is named Signature of Honor he is 17'1 hands tall. That is huge. His sire is PS Sign the Card who is more of a hunter jumper. Signature of Honor does more of the flat classes. I am super excited and really hope everything works out.

My Baby Mama

I have wanted a baby foal all of my life. Dummer was a yearling when my dad got her for me. It was one of the most exciting times in my life. We were at horse show almost every weekend. I showed her several times in lunge line. When she was 2 I showed her in walk trot in Tampa. She as horrible the whole weekend. She did not have the mind set she needed at that time. That was the last "real" show that I showed at. Dummer is now 12 years old. My plans were to breed Dummer next year and get a hunt seat baby. Last Saturday I took the horses to Lake Placid to ride and my step mom, Cheryl and I were talking about breeding Dummer. Dummer is a great horse don't get me wrong, but she has several issues. She gets frazzled very easily and she will go great for you one day and act like a totally idiot the next day. These are traits that I don't want the baby to have. Cheryl said that I should take Brood Mare and breed her this year.

That got the ball spinning. Cheryl purchased Brood Mare about two years ago. She has a very impressive blood line. She is a thoroughbred. She is a little over 16 '3 hands. She was a hunter jumper in her day and was injured in a trailer accident. She has produced several very nice babies. Cheryl and my dad aren't doing anything with her this year and we are all very excited to see what she is going to produce with this stallion. I know I could go on and on. I am so glad that Cheryl thought of the idea and is letting me have her horse for a year. It is going to be one exciting year. Cheryl and I could talk for hours about it. This may be the break we need to throw us back into the showing world. Everyone is going to be so sick of me talking about my baby. Kenneth listens with a mute ear, but he is very supportive.

Skatie

My dad has three acres and a mobile home in Ty Ty it was my grandfather's and my dad purchased it from my Granny some time ago. It has always been known as the hog pen. Every time we go to Georgia and bring the dogs or horses we stay there instead of Granny's house. My Aunt Sheila always goes over to the hog pen to make sure the air or heat is cut on b/c it always takes it a while to cool it down or heat it up b/c it has just been sitting. While she was there she called me and said there was a stay dog that someone had dumped off. When we got there you could see every bone in her body. She looked horrible. I bet she has gained 20lbs since we started feeding her.
My Aunt Sheila lives only a mile away so she knows everyone in that area and it was not any one's dog. People are all the time dumping dogs off there. I think this is the 3rd or 4th dog that I have found there. We were always able to give them a good home before we left. No such luck with Skatie. What is one more dog anyways. My plan was to get her spayed and try to find her a good home. It was all over when Reagan named her Skatie. So she is now a part of the family. I am glad b/c Ty Ty now has a companion outside. She is just as sweet as she can be. I think that people who dump dogs off should be left in Africa to find there way home.

Reagan's Birthday

For Reagan's Birthday we went to Chuck E. Cheese. She had a lot of fun. On our way home we stopped and got her a birthday cake. When she woke up that morning she was brushing her teeth and she said "Mom look I can see over the sink now because I am 5." It was so cute. I took her picture before we left. After I was done Hadrian walked to where Reagan was standing and wanted me to take his picture too.
